About Us

Our mission is to bring women into the knowledge of Jesus Christ, encourage their full potential in influencing family, friends and community; equip them for growth in personal understanding and in life skills, and to address issues that affect women and their families in their world.

OUR MISSION

ABOUT MINISTRY TO WOMEN

Ministry to Women aims to meet the needs of women of all ages. Today we provide resources to engage, encourage, equip, inspire and advocate for women in their faith journey.

Ministry to Women was first called Ladies Home League. It was founded in 1907 in London, England by Florence Booth as a “help one another society” for women who wished to learn current principles of economy, cooking, health and hygiene—informed not only by “the best authorities in Great Britain, but also from comrades in other lands.” It is international in membership and one of the largest Christian women’s organizations in the world, totaling more than 750,000 members in 2017.

THE SALVATION ARMY MISSION

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
