Record Keeping

Every woman matters, and therefore, her name, personal details and story matter. Keeping a record is more than a discipline, it is an act of caring and of tracking impact and outcomes. We do not simply record numbers, we recognize people. By keeping track of names and noticing patterns, we gain a clearer understanding of the lives we touch and the difference our ministry is making.

A record should be kept of participants in all Ministry to Women groups. In the Corps Management System, there is a Ministry to Women Roll which is the unduplicated count for all members* and participants involved in any Ministry to Women program in your Corps. This roll contains all the contact information for each person. The roll and contact information should be kept current.

In addition to the unduplicated roll, there is a roll for each individual group (Home League, Book Study, Young Mothers, etc.) The roll for each group also has the attendance and dues records. Names may be added to these rolls any time during the year.

*The only Ministry to Women group with “membership” is the Home League. Requirements for membership is outlined in the Home League Manual, which can be found on ministrytoolkit.org.

“We are not here to see through one another, but to see one another through.”
